Celebrating Entrepreneurship: Haldimand Small Business Week Breakfast

Today, I had the privilege of attending the Haldimand Small Business Week Breakfast, held at the historic No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum. This annual event brings together local business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in Haldimand County.

A Morning of Inspiration

The breakfast event kicked off with a warm welcome from Marianne Kidd, President of the Dunnville Chamber of Commerce and Shelley Ann Bentley, Mayor of Haldimand County, who emphasized the importance of small businesses in driving economic growth and community development. Keynote speakers Cathy Case, CAO of Haldimand County and Phil Hauser, of Hauser’s Pharmacy delivered an inspiring address, sharing insights on adapting to change, fostering resilience, and leveraging technology to stay ahead in today’s fast-paced business landscape.

Networking Opportunities

The event offered ample opportunities to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, exchange ideas, and forge new relationships. I had the pleasure of meeting Nicolas, owner of Hues Agency, who shared their experiences and challenges in the local market. These conversations not only sparked valuable connections but also highlighted the collective passion and dedication of Haldimand’s small business community.

The Power of Community

Held at the No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum (gladly accepting volunteers), the event showcased the rich history and heritage of our region. The museum’s unique setting served as a poignant reminder of the importance of community and collaboration. Just as the museum preserves our collective past, small businesses shape our present and future.
