WARD 6 COUNCILLOR
I’m running for Haldimand County Councillor in Ward 6 because Dunnville deserves a strong, practical, community-focused voice at the council table.
Deep Roots. Real Life Experience.
I’m a local business owner, entrepreneur, single mother of five, and lifelong Dunnville community member.
Dunnville has always been home. It is where I grew up, built relationships, raised my family, supported local organizations, and developed a deep love for this community.
I believe leadership should be approachable, accountable, practical, and rooted in real conversations with the people who live here.
Your Voice. Your Ward. Your Future.
Local politics should not feel confusing or out of reach. Council decisions affect roads, taxes, services, planning, safety, seniors, families, businesses, and the future of our community.
I am not running to play politics. I am running to listen, ask common-sense questions, explain things clearly, and speak up for the people of Ward 6.
Ward 6 deserves someone who will show up, listen, respect taxpayers, communicate clearly, and put community first.
What I’m Focused On
My priorities are rooted in practical leadership, clear communication, responsible growth, and making sure Ward 6 residents feel heard.
I am running to listen, ask common-sense questions, do the homework, explain things clearly, and make decisions that put residents first.
Transparency & Communication
Residents should understand what is being discussed, what is being voted on, and how decisions affect them. I want clearer updates, plain-language explanations, and better communication between council and the community.
Responsible Growth
Growth itself is not the problem. Poor planning is. I will support thoughtful growth that considers roads, water, wastewater, traffic, emergency services, schools, recreation, farmland, taxpayers, and the long-term future of Ward 6.
Roads & Infrastructure
Roads, sidewalks, drainage, water, sewer, lighting, traffic flow, and safety need steady attention. I will ask practical questions about what needs fixing, what needs planning, and how projects are being prioritized.
Responsible Spending
Taxpayers deserve respect. I will look closely at costs, ask questions, and support decisions that are financially responsible, practical, and in the best long-term interest of residents.
Families, Youth & Seniors
Ward 6 needs to work for people at every stage of life. I care about safe spaces for children and teens, accessible services for seniors, recreation, community programs, and making sure everyday families are considered in local decisions.
Local Business & Tourism
Small businesses, entrepreneurs, trades, local events, tourism, restaurants, shops, and community builders are part of what keeps Dunnville strong. I want to support ideas that bring people into our community and help local businesses grow.
Public Safety
Residents deserve to feel safe in their neighbourhoods, parks, roads, and public spaces. I will listen to concerns around speeding, traffic, policing, emergency response, lighting, property standards, and community safety.
Rural & Small-Town Character
Growth should not erase what makes our communities special. I believe in protecting farmland, respecting rural areas, supporting responsible planning, and keeping the character of Ward 6 in mind as decisions are made.
Listening First
People deserve to feel heard, respected, and represented, even when conversations are difficult. I will show up, listen, ask questions, and bring residents’ concerns forward with respect and honesty.
Growth That Makes Sense
Growth is one of the biggest conversations happening in Haldimand County, and it deserves thoughtful planning, transparency, and meaningful public input.
As your Ward 6 Councillor, I will not approach major developments with predetermined answers. Every proposal deserves to be evaluated on its own merits, with one question guiding every decision:
Is this truly in the best long-term interest of our community?
When reviewing major developments, including proposals like the Nanticoke MZO, I will be asking practical questions.
How will this affect taxpayers? Can our roads safely handle increased traffic? Is our water and wastewater infrastructure ready? Will emergency services, schools, parks, and recreation keep pace with growth? How will local businesses benefit? Are we protecting farmland and our rural character while planning responsibly for the future? Has the public been genuinely heard throughout the process?
These questions are not about stopping progress. They are about making sure we get growth right.
I believe Haldimand County can continue to grow while protecting what makes our communities special. Responsible growth means planning ahead instead of reacting later. It means making informed decisions based on facts, financial responsibility, environmental stewardship, and the voices of residents.
Listen. Ask Questions. Do The Homework.
I do not believe leadership is about pretending to have all the answers. I believe it is about listening, doing the homework, asking the right questions, and making decisions with integrity.
- Does this decision benefit Ward 6 residents?
- Is it financially responsible?
- Have residents had a meaningful opportunity to be heard?
- Is it supported by facts, not assumptions?
- Does it protect taxpayers now and in the future?
- Will this still make sense years from now?
Practical. Approachable. Accountable.
If elected, I promise to take this responsibility seriously.
- I will listen before I speak.
- I will explain my decisions clearly.
- I will ask tough questions.
- I will respect every taxpayer.
- I will be accessible and approachable.
- I will treat residents with respect, whether we agree or not.
- I will never forget that a councillor works for the people.

Not Political? That’s Okay.
You do not need to know everything about local government to vote. You only need to know who you trust to listen, show up, ask questions, and speak up.
A ward councillor represents the people in their area. They listen to concerns, attend council meetings, vote on local decisions, and help residents understand what is happening at the county level.
